Curriculum vitae
Dr. Florian Bruns is currently Assistant Professor at the Institute for History of Medicine and Medical Ethics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. He studied medicine, philosophy, and history in Goettingen, Vienna, and Berlin (Humboldt University).
In 2007 he successfully defended his dissertation on the history of medical ethics at the Institute for History, Ethics, and Philosophy of Medicine at Hanover Medical School (MHH), Germany.
Between 2007 and 2009 he worked as a physician at the Hospital Berlin-Buch/Charité University Hospital Berlin in cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, and intensive care medicine.
Between 2006 and 2007 he was research assistant at the Institute for History, Ethics, and Philosophy of Medicine at Hanover Medical School (MHH), Germany.
Dr. Bruns is member of the Clinical Ethics Committee (CEC) at the University Hospital Erlangen. His research topics are: Clinical Ethics, History of Medicine, Medical Ethics in Nazi Germany.
